Well-known horseman and photographer Bill Baldwin, Peaster, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 21, following a long bout with cancer.

When Baldwin lived in California,  he was best known as a great photographer, with one of the best known photos he took being that iconic halter shot of Doc Bar. Later in life, he and his lifetime partner Diane (Dee) West, moved to Peaster, Texas, where they raised well-bred cutting horses and competed in NCHA cutting competition. Baldwin was a lifetime member of the NCHA with close to $20,000 in lifetime earnings.

Baldwin leaves behind his sons John and Michael Baldwin, and his daughter Katy Baldwin-Neal, as well as his partner Dee West.

Due to the loss of Bill, Dee is selling some  horses, including a 2-year-old and 3-year old started fillies by Gold From Home and Dual R Smokin. Both are started and are priced from $2,000 to $15,000

Send your condolences to Dee at P.O. Box 186, Peaster, Texas 76485 or you can call her at 951-837-1551.
